Paro - Thimphu
Después de los trámites de inmigración y la recogida de equipaje, nuestro representante lo recibirá y luego lo llevarán a Timbu, la capital de Bután, con parada en el camino en Chuzom, la confluencia de los ríos Timbu y Paro. Tres estilos diferentes de estupas: tibetana, nepalí y butanesa adornan esta confluencia. Poco antes de llegar a Chuzom, verá a su izquierda TschogangLhakhang, “el templo del excelente caballo”. Es un templo privado, construido en el siglo XV, como resultado de la visita de Balaha, el excelente caballo, una manifestación de Chenrezig, el compasivo Buda.. A su llegada a Thimphu, regístrese en el hotel. Por la tarde, un paseo exploratorio por la calle principal de Thimphu y la zona del mercado. Visite también el Bazar de artesanía local, donde podrá ver ejemplos de las bellas artes tradicionales de Bután. Aquí podrá comprar textiles tejidos a mano, pinturas Thangkha, máscaras, cerámicas, tallas de pizarra y madera, joyas y artículos interesantes elaborados con materiales locales.

Thimphu
Después del desayuno, visita Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). Ubicado a un corto trayecto en coche desde el centro de la ciudad de Timbu, los visitantes pueden obtener una buena vista general del valle de Timbu desde Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). Puedes rendir homenaje y ofrecer oraciones a Buda, la estatua más grande del país, y luego caminar por los alrededores y echar un vistazo al valle. Comienza el "Tren de la Naturaleza de Buda" desde Buddha Point hasta Changangkha Lhakhang (caminata fácil de 2 horas). También es la residencia de verano del abad jefe y el cuerpo central de monjes.

Conducción hasta Paro por la carretera panorámica. En el camino, visita a Simtokha Dzong, la fortaleza más antigua del país construida en 1627 que ahora alberga la Escuela de estudios budistas. Al llegar a Paro, registro en el hotel. Después del almuerzo, visite Ta Dzong, construido originalmente como una torre de vigilancia y que ahora alberga el Museo Nacional. La extensa colección incluye pinturas antiguas de Thangkha, textiles, armas y armaduras, objetos domésticos y una rica variedad de artefactos naturales e históricos. La visita a Ta Dzong se realiza inmediatamente después de una breve caminata por el sendero para visitar Rinpung Dzong (ParoDzong), que significa ("fortaleza del montón de joyas"), que tiene una larga y fascinante historia. Después del desayuno Excursión al monasterio de Taktshang o Nido del Tigre (aproximadamente 5 horas de caminata): es uno de los monasterios más famosos de Bután, encaramado en la ladera de un acantilado a 900 m sobre el fondo del valle de Paro. Se dice que Gurú Rinpoche llegó aquí a lomos de una tigresa y meditó en este monasterio, por lo que se lo llama "Nido del Tigre". Este sitio ha sido reconocido como un lugar muy sagrado y fue visitado por ShabdrungNgawangNamgyal en 1646 y ahora lo visitan todos los butaneses al menos una vez en la vida. El 19 de abril de 1998, un incendio dañó gravemente la estructura principal del edificio, pero ahora esta joya butanesa ha sido restaurada y ha recuperado su esplendor original. Por la tarde, salida en coche hasta Drukgyel Dzong, una fortaleza en ruinas donde los guerreros butaneses lucharon contra los invasores tibetanos hace siglos. La cúpula nevada de la sagrada Chomolhari, "la montaña de la diosa", se puede ver en todo su esplendor desde la carretera de acceso al Dzong. Por la tarde, visita al Kyichu Lhakhang del siglo VII, uno de los 108 templos construidos en el Himalaya por el rey tibetano Songtsen Gampo. La construcción de este templo marca la introducción del budismo en Bután.
